Heritage Project presents @ Ibiza Rocks House at Pikes Hotel 23.06.12
Imagine yourself back in 1983, driving on the other side of the hill towards an unknown town called San Antonio – “the other place” as the Ibicencos called it. In this strange and mysterious part of the island some of the world’s most iconic pop stars had found their home, even if it was just for a few days. “Pikes” is not just a hotel, it’s an Ibizan institution and probably one of the most emblematic locations that is ever popular with celebrities — guests have included Tony Curtis, Grace Jones and Kylie — but its reputation was sealed after Freddie Mercury’s 40th-birthday and when used as the location for the Club Tropicana video.
Alfredo has seen this unique place evolve in the past 30 years and shares a very special emotion for it and together as THE HERITAGE PROJECT we are very proud to invite you for an evening of eclectic beats where we will go back in time and create a very special soundtrack playing different aspects from pop, funk and disco to early dance music from the likes of Arthur Russell, Liz Torres, Lil Louis, Steve Hurley and Arnold Jarvis to name just a few.
From the most diehard of Ibiza devotees to the island’s casual clubkids passing through season after summer, everybody and their dog has heard of the legendary sounds of Alfredo at the early Amnesia. Unleashing a global house music phenomenon that changed the world and island as we know it and has yet to dissipate, the apparently simple mixing together of musical styles and genres is still surprising hard to master, and thus there is still only one master. Irrespective of your personal preferences, everyone just wants to have a good time…as the song goes, and fortunately we will find ourselves in very good hands this Saturday afternoon with the DJ duo.
The gathering begins at 6pm with cocktails in the courtyard and with a few special guest DJs up our sleeve, the collection of friends and family will plan to carry on dancing till dawn. Or at least until Dawn throws us out.

Imaginate que has vuelto al año 1983, estás conduciendo al otro lado de una colina en dirección a un lugar llamado San Antonio, “el otro lugar” como los ibicencos, lo conocen. Es en esta misteriosa y extraña zona de Ibiza donde algunos de los mas conocidas estrellas del pop internacional han encontrado su casa , aunque sea por unos pocos días. “Pikes” no es simplemente un hotel, es una institución en la isla y probablemente uno de sus mas emblemáticos hoteles, aquel que ha sido siempre muy popular para las celebridades que visitan la isla- entre ellos Tony Curtis, Grace Jones y Kylie- aunque su reputación se confirmó con el festejo del 40 cumpleaños de Freddie Mercury y la filmación del video de Wham!, Club Tropicana.
Alfredo ha visto la evolución de este único y magnífico lugar a travez de los ùltimos 30 años, y comparte con el fuertes recuerdos y profundas emociones y junto a Heritage estamos orgullosos de invitarlos a a despedir el día y recibir la noche con una ecléctica mezcla musical enraizada en el tiempo,y crear asi un clima muy especial con tocando temas que vand desde el pop y el funk mas original hasta llegar a los inicios de la musica dance , con producciones de artistas como Arthur Russell, Liz Torres, Lii Louis, Steve Hurley or Arnor Jarvis para dar unos pocos ejemplos.
